Tenuta di Artimino claims two precious Tuscan Docg wines. The Carmignano Docg, a historical wine loved by the Medici family, is produced in small quantities and distinguished by the presence of Cabernet in the blend and is highly valued throughout the world. The Chianti Docg is a wider and without a doubt a better known denomination, synonymous everywhere with Tuscany and excellence

The Barco Reale Doc gets its name from the grand hunting reserve created by the Medici for their own personal hunting activities. The reserve was surrounded by the Barco Reale wall which enclosed an area of about 4000 hectares; worth noting is that some parts of the wall are still visible today. These red and rosé Doc wines are characteristic territorial wines, pleasant and smooth, thus representing an easy-to-drink alternative to the more important Carmignano.

Artumes – in memory of the ancient name of the town of Artimino – is a fragrant and versatile white wine. Centocamini (One Hundred Chimneys) – as is called even today the Villa due to the numerous chimney stacks up on the roof top – is a gentle red wine, never uppish. Iris which is a wine of great depth and body, which amazes for its elegance and character. And Governo. Four wines that leave room to take the initiative and be creative, but always with respect to the particularity of the ongoing year and the territory.

Wines to sip and savor. A small limited production which requires: patience, selection of the best grapes, a low rendering, being faithful to the traditional Tuscan methods and lengthy storage of the wine in small barrels. Vin Santo Occhio di Pernice – from white and red grapes, Carmignano Vin Santo and Chianti Vin Santo – with the classical variations that have always been used for this amber nectar.

To celebrate the more important anniversaries, special reoccurring events or excellent grape harvest, the Estate usually creates special celebration bottles in a limited edition. Precious Magnum bottles that, besides safekeeping prestigious and longevity wines, are distinguished for their unique packaging, created to recall significant moments that have made Artimino's history. Real true oenological and design gems for collectors, to be safely kept in the wine cellar: a liaison between past, present and future so to share our main goals with friends and wine lovers.

It was in 1935 when at the Vigorelli cycle track Giuseppe Olmo won the Hour Record for track cycling . Upon the eightieth anniversary the Olmo family and the Olmo Group (of which Artimino is part of) wished to commemorate Gepin - as this great racer was affectionately called - with a Grumarello magnum, limited edition. It was he who bought the Estate in the '80s, moved by the farsighted awareness that nobody would ever be able to take away the beauty of the area.

1716 – 2016

In 2016 the Tenuta di Artimino, and generally throughout Tuscany, celebrated the 300 years since the Edict of Cosimo III de 'Medici, a kind of discipline ahead of time that in the eighteenth century had already sanctioned the importance of Carmignano wines. For this occasion 1716 numbered bottles were produced, with canvas labels designed by the internationally renowned artist Wessel Huisman. The first ten bottles were auctioned and the proceeds were donated to charity in September 2016.
